About the Revamp
On April 30, 2012, it was decided that EVS should undergo a revamp. Not only was a lot of the base code of the game outdated, many of the ideas did not fit into the overall planned structure of the game. At first, EVS stayed open for the revamp and players were given an opportunity to voice their opinions. But it became evident that EVS needed a complete overhaul.

Before the revamp, 9 species were planned, there was a world to explore, gardens to plant and human avatars to dress. When EVS closed in August 2012, those features were taken out of EVS, making it a one animal game with a focus on therapy and service. Beyond that, EVS is still evolving in its down-time. Hello there, traveler! What brings you through this neck of the woods? Eagle Valley is a cozy little town nestled in the mountains.
Here, valley people raise dogs to help one another. Whether it be through therapy, detection work, police work or service, animals here are trained to do a variety of things. Can you build your kennel to be the best in the valley? Join to find out!

Right now, Eagle Valley Sim is in the process of being revamped. If you were not familiar with it before, many features were planned. So many features that it became overwhelming to the staff. With the revamp, the game is only going to be focused on one species, the dog, where before it had planned approximately nine species. This time around, everything will be different. How different do you ask? You'll just have to wait to find out. For now, a hint is that dogs will be able to do a lot more than before.

I'm proud to present to everyone EVS' new layout! It's a major step for the revamp to be able to reveal the new layout.

Over the past couple months, Bob (our amazing new artist) and I have been working on getting EVS ready for you guys to join. While that's still a long way off, we've made a lot of progress! Artwise, we're moving right along with 3/5 of the planned breeds to open back up with. With programming, we have dog care, breeding, litters, and some basic training in.

I know it seems like it's taking forever to those of you who are waiting impatiently for EVS to finish its revamp. It'll be worth it when it's finally finished! Please note that there is no concrete date in which testers will be let back into EVS, but we're shooting for a summer date.
